Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that stimulates the skin to produce more collagen and elastin. This process helps to repair the skin and can lead to a more youthful appearance. The microneedling device has an attachment with 12 tiny needles that create microinjuries to the skin. The skin then goes through a process called dermal remodeling, which involves inflammation and the production of new collagen. Results can be seen in as little as one treatment but may require 3-4 treatments to be most impactful.
